WHY THE NAME?
Google defines a venture as a risky or daring journey or undertaking. As self-proclaimed adventure seekers, this definition suits us to a tee. At Venture, we believe that the most extraordinary adventures in life occur where you least expect them.
As part of this vision, our first project is to travel to, and educate others about the least visited countries in the world. Dubbed the Epic Eight, these countries remain untouched for a number of reasons.
Upon researching these countries, one thing remained constant. With so many of them situated in the Pacific, the threat of rising sea levels and Climate Change is inevitable. That is why we believe it is now more important than ever, to visit and showcase these countries beauty and incredible landscapes to the world for all to see.
We hope that by spreading awareness of these countries and the beautiful people and cultures within them, we will better appreciate the fundamental aspects of an enjoyable life. And by increasing awareness and knowledge about these regions, tourism will increase enough to allow Climate Change to be taken seriously.
WHERE ARE WE FROM?
Only the most remote city in the world.
We’re talking about Perth, Australia.
Located on the Western, ‘less touristy’ side of Australia, it’s home to some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world. The northernmost part of the state, known as the ‘Kimberley’, is one of the last largely untouched landscapes in the modern world.
Having spent our whole childhood exploring everything our great state has to offer and watching most tourists flock to our Eastern counterparts’ shores, leaving our state and people as a distant afterthought, we believe we are perfectly positioned to raise awareness about the most remote regions on Earth and everything they have to offer.
WHY DID WE MAKE VENTURE?
Simple.
During the pandemic, we noticed an increase in people seeking different kinds of adventures.
Ventures beyond the ordinary.
With many people unable to leave their own country, we turned to largely untouched destinations. Those previously uninterrupted by hordes of tourists.
Inspired by the success of YouTube channel Yes Theory and survivalist Bear Grylls, we decided why not take that one step further? Why not explore more remote regions on Earth?
Beginning with raising awareness about the 8 least visited countries in the world, (a project dubbed Epic Eight), we are all about embracing difference and connection. With the overwhelming rise of technology in the modern world, it is critical that we remind people of the need to connect with the countries on which they visit and respect the people and traditions within it.
Because countries are so much more than just scribbles on a map.
In a money obsessed, power hungry world, it is so often that our less fortunate neighbours open their hearts up to us and treat us to unforgettable experiences. We think those neighbours deserve to be visited.
So, buckle your seatbelts up and hold on tight. We’re going to explore the most remote regions on Earth.
